The Tool

  • This is a very quick and simple way to make the tensioner compressing tool from parts off your car :) (for the cheap at heart)

    All you need is a tap/die set (metric), and your battery hold down (the long bolt). What you need to do is file/dremel/cut off the little stamps that hold the washer onto the bolt, then die the bolt with the same thread pattern/pitch as is already there. You just need to die it about half way up.
  • Once this is done you are now ready to use this thing in your timing belt install.. Use the Timing belt FAQ's and your Manual to complete the belt... Comments or Questions, please let me know by email spamkiller@v8eaters.com
